We as Americans must now make a choice as to whether our children and grandchildren will have the freedom to live their lives as they choose, as we have. In our ignorance we have allowed these Muslim peoples to enter our nation and live freely among us allowing them to form self segregating communities, which prevents them from assimilating our culture. In this nation of laws all men are created equal, but in Muslim communities the laws are interpreted in the light of sharia, which distorts our freedoms and subverts our nation. These people do not value freedom or religious liberty as their faith requires submission and servitude to evil. In Christianity we live under grace which gives every person free will to either accept or deny Christ, which is complimentary with our nations laws. Specifically our nations laws were written by men who weighed heavily the teachings of Christ, and believed a government based in his teachings would be the least intrusive as possible. For example, most of the founding fathers, and a great many subjects of the crown who fought for independence, such my great to the seventh generation grandfather, were risking their very existence for an opportunity to choose their own destiny as Christ taught, as opposed to the desires of a ruling class. Islam is much like a monarchy, in that the Imams dictate the actions the common person is allowed to perform, and any diversion will be met with severe punishment often including death. These types of governing bodies historically are often corrupt and a majority of those accused have no access to a competent defense. Naïve people compare radical Christians to these radical Muslims, thinking them similar, because they either have never read the bible or have a atheistic agenda. The Christian faith is based in humility, peace, and love, while the Muslim faith is founded in servitude, fear, and punishment. If I am an orthodox Christian I will pray for you, preach to you, and love you. If I am an orthodox Muslim I will preach to you, I will sever your head with a pocket knife, like they did to Daniel pearl, and then molest your daughter. For those of you who claim to be Christians Islam is described in the book of revelation as “the beast out of the sea”, which derives its power from the devil. The idea that Jews, Christians, and Muslims all serve the same god is ignorance at best.

If you follow Mohammed in an orthodox manner, in the Quran there are only three choices for the non believer:
• either willing submission [i.e., conversion];
• or payment of the jizya [poll-tax paid by non-Muslims], thereby bodily, though not spiritual, submission to the authority of Islam;
• or the sword—for it is not right to let him [an infidel] live.
The matter is summed up for every person alive: either submit, or live under the suzerainty of Islam, or die…. Such, then, is the basis of the relationship between the infidel and the Muslim. If the infidel will not submit they must be forced or killed. They convert by the sword, or pocketknife whichever is most painful. From this mentality you get suicide bombings, which have been commonplace in the Islamic world for 100 years. The Muslim brotherhood, which in 1929 was formed in Egypt, to combat the western world. Before that Islam killed and maimed millions in northern India around current day Pakistan. These events initiated by Islam are immortalized in the name of the “Hindu Cush” area, which translated means “funeral pyre of the Hindus”. How many people do you have to kill to rename an entire region of the world, in honor of the event? Approximately 80 million, or the population of southwest America, including the entire population of California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Arizona, and Texas.

For every slave captured many others died. Estimates of this collateral damage vary. The renowned missionary David Livingstone estimated that for every slave who reached a plantation, five others were killed in the initial raid or died of illness and privation on the forced march.[Woman’s Presbyterian Board of Missions, David Livingstone, p. 62, 1888] Those who were left behind were the very young, the weak, the sick and the old. These soon died since the main providers had been killed or enslaved. So, for 25 million slaves delivered to the market, we have an estimated death of about 120 million people. Islam ran the wholesale slave trade in Africa.
60 MILLION CHRISTIANS The number of Christians martyred by Islam is 9 million [David B. Barrett, Todd M. Johnson, World Christian Trends AD 30-AD 2200, William Carey Library, 2001, p. 230, table 4-10] . A rough estimate by Raphael Moore in History of Asia Minor is that another 50 million died in wars by jihad. So counting the million African Christians killed in the 20th century we have: 60 million.
80 MILLION HINDUS Koenard Elst in Negationism in India gives an estimate of 80 million Hindus killed in the total jihad against India. Do the math and your current tally is 270 million dead in 1300 years: That is more than Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, and the remainder of the 20th century socialists. It breaks down to on average of 207,692 persons killed every year for 1300 years. Or in another way it would be over 5,000 deaths every day for 47,450 days, or 1300 years.
By contrast Christianity is often compared to Islam based upon actions of the catholic church, and lone offenders like timothy McVeigh (an atheist). She converted to Christianity after hearing a Christian preacher on television. In her latest book, Darwish warns about creeping Sharia law - what it is, what it means, and how it is manifested in Islamic countries. For the West, she says radical Islamists are working to impose Sharia on the world. If that happens, Western civilization will be destroyed. Westerners generally assume all religions encourage a respect for the dignity of each individual. Islamic law (Sharia) teaches that non-Muslims should be subjugated or killed in this world. Peace and prosperity for one's children is not as important as assuring that Islamic law rules everywhere in the Middle East and eventually in the world. While Westerners tend to think that all religions encourage some form of the golden rule, Sharia teaches two systems of ethics - one for Muslims and another for non-Muslims. In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President by themselves! Rest assured they will do so... You can look at how they have taken over several towns in the USA .. Dearborn Mich. Is one... and there are others... I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read this, but with the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on! It is too bad that so many are disillusioned with life and Christianity to accept Muslims as peaceful. Some may be, but they have an army that is willing to shed blood in the name of Islam. The peaceful support the warriors with their finances and own kind of patriotism to their religion. While America is getting rid of Christianity from all public sites and erasing God from the lives of children the Muslims are planning a great jihad on America .

the end must be near.
It is another cold morning here on the farm, so as I reflect by the fire I contemplate the future of our great State of Texas and peripherally of our nation. I was renewed to see a wave of interested and informed people who have stood up to the usurpation of our rights, by the statists in Washington, and voted a majority to what should be the conservative party. Here in Texas, our Texas, we also elected a supermajority in the State House which gave me hope, if not for our nation, at least for our state, until this week. Our fellow citizens, at least a large portion of them, have awakened from their detachment, to inform our rulers that we will come and go at our leisure and seek to derive from the government only the protection to do so. Yet, as I write this note, this conservative body of the Texas Legislature has reelected a Democrat turned Republican to the post of Speaker of the House, a man whose Wife is associated with Planned Parenthood, who appointed just as many Democrats to head committee chairs as Republicans, who blocked many bills aimed at moving our great State to the right, and just happens to be the subject of a criminal probe into illegal political contributions. My Representative Tim Kleinschmidt, and a majority of these alleged conservatives, voted in favor of Speaker Straus even though I and many of his other supporters informed him of our opposition. His statement “that he was honoring his word”, in effect forces him to dishonor his word to those of us who supported him. Of course he did not appreciate that point, or when I asked if the $435,000 he received from Speaker Straus was money well spent. So Texas the last bastion of real conservatism has moved directly to the center again, with little chance of real legislation on immigration, taxation, or protection from the oppression from Washington. There are currently more Hispanics (many from illegal parents) in the Texas School System than any other group, many local Hospitals have closed due to the burden of illegal’s using the emergency rooms as primary care facilities, and in the largest taxpayer supported hospitals in the state, over 70% of all births are to illegal immigrants, accounting for over 11,000 anchor babies every year, at parkland hospital, the Dallas hospital where President Kennedy was taken, alone. Many of these reelected establishment Republicans are now floating a tax increase idea, even while on the door to almost any store here you can find the sticker advertising Texas’s version of the welfare card, written in Spanish. Our budget shortfall could be anywhere from $10, to $30 billion dollars this year.
So while Texas sinks into the mire the federal law of the land is still that I must purchase a product, for my own good, negotiated and deemed acceptable by a government functionary with an I.Q. of maybe 100, to encompass my every need, whether I need or not. If I were to refuse, I would suffer the "police power" of the government by their authority to issue a warrant, regardless of the severity of the crime, by which allowing the government to restrain me by any means necessary, to facilitate my subordination. Is it such a stretch to say that we might all be driving government motors vehicles to save a nationalized company and their invasive labor union, under threat of incarceration? Is it unwarranted for me to worry when Al the Goracle states that "climate change is the vehicle to global governance" just because I cannot purchase a old fashioned light bulb, in favor of a mercury bulb? I don’t know which is more worrisome to me, that George Soros, the self proclaimed god, who may or may not be the devil incarnate, wishes for American Citizens to acquiesce our constitutional freedoms for the sake of a new World Government, OR that he has full access to the White House. Should I worry about the conclusions from the congressional report on Electromagnetic Pulse, that the Forstchen/Gingrich book “one second after” illustrates, which are similar to the effects of an x class solar flare striking earth as in the 1859 Carrington event, has done nothing to spur the government to prepare, when it is estimated that a very large majority of Americans will perish from dehydration, starvation, riots, and or looters. Should I worry about mystery missiles from nowhere, or falling birds? Should I be concerned about $5/gallon gas prices again, which as I recall was the catalyst for our current crisis? Should we fear the possibility of an inflationary depression what with all of the money printing, rising commodity prices, and prevalent underemployment? Is the $14+trillion debt a national security risk? Should we fear the future filled with nuclear power terrorist states like Iran and Syria? How about the one way Iranian air flight from Tehran to Mexico, every Monday, combined with our lack of border control?
Our government has a record of treating problems by creating more problems. I call it the broken finger fix. Imagine you sprain your ankle, and it hurts to walk. Well under Obamacare a bureaucrat from Washington shows up steals your property and breaks your finger. So while your ankle pain is no longer your main concern, he walks away stating “it works every time”. As an example the income tax was to be temporary and never to exceed 4%. The Department of Education formed under President Jimmy Carter has presided over an increase in dropouts and a stagnant record on test scores for the life of this agency, while the budget has increased from $14,000,000 in 1980 to $68,574,592. The Department of Energy created to lessen our dependence on foreign oil, it now employees 16,000 federal union employees with pensions, with an average federal salary $25,000 over the national average, approximately 100,000 contract employees, and an annual budget of $24,000,000,000. yes that is Billions. The Postal Service is $8,000,000,000 over budget this past year, and $2,000,000,000 from 2009 makes an even $10 billion. Do I need to mention all of the Katrina/ Rita f.e.m.a. trailers for sale along every road in Texas?
Fellow citizens we stand at a precipice with the wind at our back, while the federal and state governments are presented with real problems, with serious consequences for our nation, and the lack of fortitude to honestly and factually deal with them. We now live in a land governed by the weak, and selfish, populated by the ignorant and apathetic, and surrounded by the evil and the jealous. Our only hope in the natural realm is in upright, strong, and honest people, unfortunately there are apparently very few of them.

tragedy and the predictable response of gun control
the news of the shooting of congresswoman giffords, the federal judge, and especially the nine year old girl, among others, is disheartening to say the least. i have opposed the democrats at almost every turn of their pens, even to the point of all out rage. yet my civilized side said no. i have yelled and screamed at
the lies and innuendo directed at the conservative citizens of this nation, yet my better judgment has always prevailed. i have railed and cried at what these democrats have done to our republic, yet my gun is still silent. to this day sen. kennedy's car has still killed more people than my gun. now we sit watching
the aftermath scroll on the ticker, the talking heads interviewing every congress person who has ever served in arizona, and the left screams. gov. palin is at fault for her quip "reload", the right is at fault for our promotion of the second amendment, and fox news is at fault for driving this person over the edge. i have a
news flash for you, he was already over the edge. tragedies like this one inevitably always turn the debate to guns, and the lefts compassion for the victims, with of course the complicity of the new york state media types, who for the life of them do not understand what all the fuss is about guns. i feel like the amazing kreskin, after the obligatory period of mourning the left will trot out its victims and call for congress to do something about the availability of assault weapons, the prevalence of gun shows, and the need for a ban on handguns. what these champions of the public welfare always fail to herald is that for every life taken in gun violence, many more are saved from violence by the use of a firearm.
Guns are used 2.5 million times a year in self-defense. Law-abiding citizens use guns to defend themselves against criminals as many as 2.5 million times every year -- or about 6,850 times a day, according to Gary Kleck and Marc Gertz, in "Armed Resistance to Crime: The Prevalence and Nature of Self-Defense With a Gun".
This means that each year, firearms are used more than 80 times more often to protect the lives of honest citizens than to take lives, according to the "national safety council" there are only about 30,000 deaths attributed to firearms, from murder, and accidents.

* Concealed carry laws are dropping crime rates across the country. A comprehensive national study determined in 1996 that violent crime fell after states made it legal to carry concealed firearms. The results of the study showed:
* States which passed concealed carry laws reduced their murder rate by 8.5%, rapes by 5%, aggravated assaults by 7% and robbery by 3%; and

i first wrote this the day they passed obamacare, a very dark day for america
WHO AM I?
oft i was quoted and revered to the word
my screams for freedom are gone now unheard
we were Joined in the battle these many many years
squared were my shoulders as were my peers
in defense of our future we stood for what’s right
even as brightness settled down for the night
darkness descended and smothered us with fear
resting my weary I’s they being no use to me here
for evil is strong and he rules this land
with paper and type how oppressive his hand
attrition our path to stem satan’s tide
but each of his blows diminished my pride
in my left ear comes the buglers call
charge is the order a charge by them all
an army of black extends out its reach
like a flood flowing over and into the breach
fewer and fewer defenders an insurmountable cost
Overtaken by apathy I and our nation now lost
falling to the ground wounded and broken
i hold to the word that my authors have spoken
my joy is expired and all hope from me flees
with but one choice to make i fall to my knees
beset by mine enemies encompassed about
for the lord is my refuge my only redoubt

• recent studies have shown, that there are segments of the population that are at high risk of contracting Palin Derangement Syndrome.
there are common risk factors that contribute to the spread of this horrendous disease around the globe. patients usually present with the following;
1. poor critical thought processes
2. usually a deficiency in civility
3. an acute oral type diarrhea
4. ironically a seizure of the sphincter muscle often accompanies the above #3

are you prepared?
another cold morning here so i am reflecting by the fire. as i contemplate the future of our great state and that of our nation in relation to our own personal future i am both excited and distressed at the same time. i see a wave of interested and informed people who have stood up to the serfdom being sold to our citizenry, and i feel there is hope, at least in the short term. but the hope is not that this nation will recover, or that our fellow citizens will awake from their detachment, but that our great state will finally stand up to the usurpation of our rights as citizens to divine our own path in life. our existence in this world, no matter your feelings about faith, is the exclusive domain of our own design, not to serve a government, or political entity. we come and go at our leisure and derive from the government only the protection to do so. anymore than that is a form of slavery, albeit slight, but slavery none the less. and no matter how incomprehensible it may be no one can be a slave without their consent. so as i write this note, the law of the land is that i must purchase a product, for my own good, negotiated and deemed acceptable by a government functionary with an i.q. of maybe 100, to encompass my every need, whether i need or not, and if i refuse, i will suffer the "police power" of the government up to and including incarceration."police power" as i understand it, as i am no purveyor of the law, is the difference between life and death. the government has the authority to restrain you by any means necessary, if a warrant is issued, regardless of the severity of the crime, say for instance refusing to purchase a government mandated product. is it such a stretch to say that we might all be driving government motors vehicles to save a nationalized company and their invasive labor union? is it unwarranted for me to worry when al the goracle states that "climate change is the vehicle to global governance" because he no longer has influence from his $9,000,000 beach front home? should i worry more that george soros, the self proclaimed god, who may or may not be the devil incarnate, wishes for american citizens to acquiesce their first, second, fourth, and tenth amendment freedoms for the sake a new world government, OR that he has full access to the white house and the president. i am torn. we live in a land governed by the weak, and selfish, populated by the ignorant and apathetic, and surrounded by the evil and the jealous. our only hope in the natural realm is in upright, strong, and honest people.
i live in washington county, tx with a population of around 60,000 people. of those 60,000 only about 14000 vote and far fewer, possibly less than 10% will ever communicate with their elected representatives. so out of 60,000 citizens around 1000 will affect governance either for more or for less. for those who see things in gray scale, either government gets larger or smaller there is no middle ground here. the income tax was to be temporary and never to exceed 4%. the department of education formed under president jimmy carter has presided over an increase in dropouts and a stagnant record on test scores for the life of this agency, and the budget has increased from $14,000,000 in 1980 to $68,574,592. the department of energy was also formed under president jimmy carter to lessen our dependence on foreign oil, it now employees 16,000 federal union employees/pensions/ with an average federal salary $25,000 over the national average, approximately 100,000 contract employees, and an annual budget of $24,000,000,000. yes that is billions. the postal service is $8,000,000,000 over budget this past year, and $2,000,000,000 from 2009 makes an even $10 billion. do i need to mention all of the katrina/ rita f.e.m.a. trailers for sale on a roadside near you? the founders knew that a strong federal government would be cumbersome and unwieldy, so they institutionalized the rights of the citizens in the various states to regulate our own affairs, under the tenth amendment, preferring debate to occur in austin rather than washington where most cannot afford to travel. the design was such that if california wanted gay marriage, let them vote for it, and we are not required to recognize their law in texas. in 1800 you were a citizen of the united states by being a citizen of your specific state, and in 2011you are now a nationalized citizen, conditioning you to central planning and distant government. the seventeenth amendment was enacted to remove from the states the concept of a republic and replace it with democracy, which as marx states, "is the road to socialism". in 1942 in Wickard v. Filburn the supreme court, which had been packed by president roosevelts cronies, ruled that you cannot grow wheat, regardless of its final destination, on your own land, if the u.s.d.a. does not want you to. under stare decisis, the legal profession uses precedent not the constitution to interpret current law, thereby allowing us to extrapilate that you in fact do not own your land, under penalty of law and pursuant to the police power of the government. the same is true of taxation on property valuation. if you do not pay your taxes the sherriff will excort you off your land either dead or alive, as the taxing authority is the true owner of the land. this is not what the founders had in mind, and the longer we let this problem metastisize, the more painful it will be to excise it. i have hope for our great state of texas, assuming we can oust speaker straus, but i fear for the remainder of the world. in the bible i believe we are the "restrainer" who protects isreal from its enemies. unfortunately the restrainer is removed, allowing isreal to be "encompassed by armies" and signaling our involvement in the great tribulation, from which you either die or meet the lord upon his return.the question to me is how is the restrainer removed? (the "katrina effect" meaning troops deployed to a neighborhood near you, hereafter to be known as "chaos").\

are we a blessed nation when christians are just as likely to sin as non christians? the divorce rate among christians is no different from the non believing population. the adultery, and fornication rates are staggering. a percentage of pastors do not even believe in god. how are we different than sodom with our gay pride parades, and sexual perversions? our nation was founded by an intelligent, and religious people, who were serious about life, and they i am sure are dissappointed in our lethargy and selfishness. so as i stated earlier, hope tempered in despair, or is it despair tempered with hope. either way the path is arduous, and only the strong and/ or prepared will survive it. are you?

i live in washington county, tx with a population of around 60,000 people. of those 60,000 only about 14000 vote and far fewer, possibly less than 10% will ever communicate with their elected representatives. so out of 60,000 citizens around 1000 will affect governance either for more or for less. for those who see things in gray scale, either government gets larger or smaller there is no middle ground here. the income tax was to be temporary and never to exceed 4%. the department of education formed under president jimmy carter has presided over an increase in dropouts and a stagnant record on test scores for the life of this agency, and the budget has increased from $14,000,000 in 1980 to $68,574,592. the department of energy was also formed under president jimmy carter to lessen our dependence on foreign oil, it now employees 16,000 federal union employees/pensions/ with an average federal salary $25,000 over the national average, approximately 100,000 contract employees, and an annual budget of $24,000,000,000. yes that is billions. the postal service is $8,000,000,000 over budget this past year, and $2,000,000,000 from 2009 makes an even $10 billion. do i need to mention all of the katrina/ rita f.e.m.a. trailers for sale on a roadside near you? the founders knew that a strong federal government would be cumbersome and unwieldy, so they institutionalized the rights of the citizens in the various states to regulate our own affairs, under the tenth amendment, preferring debate to occur in austin rather than washington where most cannot afford to travel. the design was such that if california wanted gay marriage, let them vote for it, and we are not required to recognize their law in texas. in 1800 you were a citizen of the united states by being a citizen of your specific state, and in 2011you are now a nationalized citizen, conditioning you to central planning and distant government. the seventeenth amendment was enacted to remove from the states the concept of a republic and replace it with democracy, which as marx states, "is the road to socialism". in 1942 in Wickard v. Filburn the supreme court, which had been packed by president roosevelts cronies, ruled that you cannot grow wheat, regardless of its final destination, on your own land, if the u.s.d.a. does not want you to. under stare decisis, the legal profession uses precedent not the constitution to interpret current law, thereby allowing us to extrapilate that you in fact do not own your land, under penalty of law and pursuant to the police power of the government. the same is true of taxation on property valuation. if you do not pay your taxes the sherriff will excort you off your land either dead or alive, as the taxing authority is the true owner of the land. this is not what the founders had in mind, and the longer we let this problem metastisize, the more painful it will be to excise it. i have hope for our great state of texas, assuming we can oust speaker straus, but i fear for the remainder of the world. in the bible i believe we are the "restrainer" who protects isreal from its enemies. unfortunately the restrainer is removed, allowing isreal to be "encompassed by armies" and signaling our involvement in the great tribulation, from which you either die or meet the lord upon his return.the question to me is how is the restrainer removed? (the "katrina effect" meaning troops deployed to a neighborhood near you, hereafter to be known as "chaos").\

so in summary i urge you to wake from your slumber, engage the weak minded among us, stand for the law as it was founded, where all men are equal in the eyes of god, and the law, and government serves us. for if we allow them 1 inch in kindness they will pervert and destroy us through patience and flattery, just as they have done. we stand, in the breach for faith and freedom as the last place on the planet where a person can speak their mind, and defend their speech with arms. no other nation has this right in all of the world, only america.why do you think the u.s.a. is different?

doing for the poor
just a quick thought this morning while waiting for the fusion ball to rise and warm my oh so very cold bones. there was a woman on the tele last week complaining about how she cannot get assistance with her utility bills, while a 50 something inch tele was behind her with all of the accoutrement of the modern age, game system, cable box/ dvd player, etc...
My husband and I observed some neighbors recently who apparently use a crutch, at least when they leave their house, which the ailment of the day, allows them to receive disability payments, which monthly is more than my grand mother in law receives.
i walk into a store and notice the door, where ensconced firmly by the handle is a little sticker which reads simply, lone star aceptado aquÃ. So we could not get enough english peaking peoples to enroll we must now advertise in spanish? sometimes i wonder..... so i recall something ole ben franklin said to me one time. he said, …"I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means.—I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I travelled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer. jobless rate drops in december, really?

Where do i start, this is more state run media ridiculousness. first of all historically the hiring for the last three months of the year has always increased, with seasonal (i believe they mean "CHRIST"mas demand) factors being the primary engine of growth. To trumpet these numbers as an example of real economic recovery is, oh yes i have already given commentary, on this, let us continue.

The seven P’s
The seven P’s refer to an acronym oft used in the military, and repeated relentlessly by my father in law.
Proper, Prior, Preparation, Prevents, Piss, Poor, Performance.
I usually take my father in laws ism”s with a bit of humor, as most are given opportunistically at an appropriate “here’s your sign” moment. I have in the past laughed many times at his extolling the virtues of the seven P’s, however lately I find those words ringing in my ear, more and more often.
With our current climate, in politics, faith, and society, proper prior preparation seems to be more important than ever. The question is, what are we preparing for? In my case my family is preparing for a time the bible refers to as the tribulation, a time unequaled in all of history, comprised of wars, famine, disease, murder, theft, etc... You may want to prepare for something less complex and as specific a natural disaster, or for all out nuclear war, either way the seven P’s would be invaluable.
As a survivalist, I acknowledge the absolute in the rule of three’s, and I would urge you to as well. The rule of three’s state that a human cannot survive beyond three minutes without air, three days without water, and three weeks without food. Obviously these timeframes will vary depending upon you’re locale, and the climate there. Here in Texas, as in much of the south you can die within hours without hydration, but the requirements for air, and food are much more accurate. We, then can assume that man will always be presented with situations that may either lead to injury or death, so the specific scenario we prepare for should always be focused on the worst possible outcome, and its effect based upon the rule of three’s. Any less will just prolong the inevitable. I call this my insurance plan. Much like I carry insurance on my car in case I have an accident, even though I have a perfect driving record, and an accident is unlikely, many things are possible.
So let us focus on proper prior planning, and how that will prevent the piss poor performance. The key to me is to always start with a pencil, notebook, and a calculator.
I find sitting at the dining table, with no distractions allows me to focus my very random thoughts to the task at hand. Obviously you would want to determine a risk assessment, based upon your geographic location, proximity to urban or rural areas, natural resources, and your capabilities, not to mention how many people will depend upon your preparations. The first part of a risk assessment is for you to determine what natural disasters have happened in your area, and in this respect, don’t just limit yourself to recent events. Many natural disasters occur in recurrent patterns, such as tornado alley, hurricanes along the gulf and Atlantic coasts, floods along rivers, and crime in large cities. But let’s not forget uncommon but potentially dangerous situations, such as earthquake activity along even dormant fault lines, dormant volcano’s like in Yellowstone, an x class solar flare knocking out the electrical grid, and the unexpected biological outbreak. You will need to determine your risk and what you choose to prepare for. Thankfully your preparations for one scenario will quite often overlap with others, so the need for specialty items may be limited. Obviously air is the most important to all of us, and there are few situations comparatively which historically deprive people of this most precious commodity. But you should always prepare for it. A volcano can spew ash into the air which if breathed into your lungs will kill you. Just as dangerous a flood can drown you, if you are unable to move for whatever reason. Some areas of the world experience poisonous gases, and I often include pandemics in this area of preparation for the similarities. One can do as little as purchasing a few bandana’s, or as much as purchasing expensive gas masks and or oxygen tanks, to provide clean breathable air. Again think of it as insurance.
The second rule of three’s is water. “Water water everywhere and not a drop to drink”. Prior proper planning in this section is much more complex, and arguably the most important. Though three fourth’s of the earth is covered by water, very little of it is fit for direct drinking, and if not filtered, distilled, or boiled you will die from its ingestion. In our modern society our tap water is often treated and absent of any microscopic entities which you might build up a resistance to, which leaves a majority of us vulnerable. In almost every scenario I plan for, I assume the electrical grid will be down for whatever reason, and therefore the water pumps will not run. This is where preparation becomes more complicated, as storing water, requires ample storage space, and filtration is expensive. Either way you must be prepared on both fronts in my opinion, as diversity may allow you options, when the unforeseen is encountered. Most modern cities were founded near a water source, and if the source is a river, you have a leg up over ocean bound cities. Having stated this a person can build a solar still and process salt water, but I would only do this if you have a method to store water safely for the proverbial raining day. Some may need to travel some distance to find a safe secure water supply, as you and everyone else will be looking for safe water, so having both a method for storage that is portable and filtration would be invaluable. If you are in a southern climate your plans need to be magnified just to accommodate the increased strain on your hydration. If you plan for nothing else, planning for this may save your life long enough to find or be found.
The third rule of three’s is food. Now food is a commodity that is renewable to a certain extent. There is plenty of food down at Wal-Mart, right now. As hurricane’s Katrina, and Rita taught me, and most grocers will agree, most stores only keep a few days worth of food on the shelves. When hurricane Rita caused the evacuation of Houston, Texas en mass there was very little food or water in stores for approximately two hundred miles. I wondered what would have happened if the potential disaster had continued for a week or two like hurricane Katrina? Fights? Riots? Murders? when presented with a desperate situation, the average person looses all sense in the pursuit of food and water. Planning for this scenario is somewhat easier if you are in a rural area over urban environments. The basic premise here is to accept the fact that you cannot depend upon foraging. Most people miss this concept, and I am by no means infallible, here, but if you can imagine yourself foraging for food, then assume all of your neighbors are as well. Again proper prior preparation for the worst, will leave you rarely unprepared. I prefer in our preparations canned goods over other types of foods, but then I also live in a very rural area, and we have a secure underground location to store said canned goods in. a single can of vegetables is usually a portion of water, and food, that does not need to be cooked, and a shelf life of up to ten years. Dehydrated foods are also good if you have a water source, but they are expensive, and often need to be cooked. Military style meals, have been popular for decades, unfortunately they are very expensive and in my opinion, plagued by poor taste and nutrition. Dried beans and rice are great foods if again you have water, and heat, and most importantly a way to prevent weevils from entering your stockpile. We have done this by using plastic barrels and old drink containers, in conjunction with either pure nitrogen or dry ice. This is by far the area that will require the most thought, as there are so many options, just remember diversity presents options.
In conclusion I urge you to assess your needs and desires, and consider those around you. I have known many people who felt preparations were folly, but I often wonder what would happen if their loved ones were suffering from a disaster. Would they regret their decision to purchase insurance. I will not. Will you?

Koch versus Soros

Yes the Koch brothers have given 250 million dollars to candidates, foundations, think tanks etc. George Soros has given 2 BILLION (8 times as much) to his collectivist causes, at least.
While you look up both the Koch brothers and Soros on the internet. Note and compare the tone of the articles you find highest in the search engines. Tell us what you note almost immediately (if you are honest).
While we wonder how a person who exploits their freedom to enrich themselves can in good conscience fight against freedom for other to do the same we just note some of Soros’ “causes”. well neighbor, let me welcome es tu le jardin, home to the sweat of my brow. the rows of the garden stretch out in front and behind us, much as the muscles my ancestors used while they labored diligently with blood and toil to provide us a fertile bed for the seed of ideas to be sown. these ideas once planted in the spring of our nation, by people of passion did require much care with mulch and hoe, to prevent those unwanted tares from overtaking the tiny young crop. as time and experience turned our field of stones from brown to green to red preparations for those predatory creatures, who enter the field in darkness, to root and glut on the tender young shoots, were not successful and much of the crop was lost. as the march of the seasons continued the summer encompassed all, where the heat oppressed our passions, and we were dependent upon the reign of foolishness to nourish that which has been planted. through patience and faithfulness we continue on with our struggle until the leaves of fall adjust their hue in preparation of colder days. the end finally near, i will gather my gloves, pull up my boots, and sharpen my tools, for the harvest is almost at hand. i cannot offer you much more than sore muscles, and little sleep, but if you will join me, we will harvest the sweet fruit of freedom, and offer it to those who desire it.
